TOYOTA
TOYOTA Forklifts
As a full line leading manufacturer of automated, electric and engine powered lift trucks, Toyota offers the safest, smartest and most reliable solutions that are designed to meet your needs. The Irish poet and playwright, Oscar Wilde, summed it up best when he said, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness”. If you’re reading this, you are likely in the market for a lift truck. Please note the number of Toyota “look alike” lift trucks on the market.
While many manufacturers have attempted to design stability systems, sport similar colors and stylish design, make no mistake, the differences will be revealed the longer you own the lift truck. With a legacy of quality lift trucks dating back to 1956, the Toyota difference is defined as reliability and the low cost of ownership over the life of the equipment. Unlike most manufacturers, Toyota as a vertically integrated manufacturer controls the quality of their finished product by designing and manufacturing most of the components (i.e. engines, transmissions, drive axles, mast assemblies) and assembling them in their own production facilities using the world renown Toyota Production System. If more assurance is needed, bolt on the Toyota 360 Plus “carriage to counterweight” warranty (see download for more details) with coverage up to 60 months/10,000 hours, guaranteed service response time, and the first year PM services coupled with Lift Truck Center’s commitment to service excellence for over 40 years.
The result…a very satisfied customer. Toyota lift trucks provide many standard features that are optional and available at additional expense with other lift truck manufacturers. Telematics, programmable travel speed control, LED lights, full suspension seat, diagnostic display, CANbus wiring and Underwriters Laboratories UL Certification represent only a few of what is standard on most Toyota models. Toyota lift trucks are designed for ease of access for operators when completing daily inspections and for repair technicians. Telemetry options provide electronic daily checklists for OSHA compliance, impact monitoring and many other features. Toyota lift trucks are also considered the safest in the industry to operate and the majority of models come standard with the following Toyota designed and manufactured features:
- Active Mast Control that monitors front tilt angle, rear tilt speed and fork leveling. o System of Active Stability provides speed reduction when cornering, a swing lock cylinder and active steering synchronizer.
- Operator Presence System that prevents hydraulic functions when an operator is not detected in the seat.
- Retractable seat belt and safety seat. Toyota lift trucks can also be equipped with a wide range of price book and custom engineered options and product handling attachments that are designed to increase productivity and reliability.
- Optional tires are available in non-marking and special compounds, tread types, along with wide profile and dual drive tires for added flotation and long load handling.
- Special overhead guard heights and widths, travel alarms, safety and pedestrian lights, Toyota Sens pedestrian detection system, cameras, rack height selectors, joystick or mini-lever hydraulic controls, foot directional control, special fork design and sizes, cold storage and foundry conditioning for harsh operating environments.
- A wide variety of attachment solutions are available that enable lift trucks to become more versatile to pull, push, clamp, lift, rotate and can be custom designed to fit your product handling. Toyota lift trucks can normally be equipped to operate attachments built by other manufacturers if you’re considering redeploying an existing attachment. Toyota is the parent company of Cascade, an attachment manufacturer that has been building industry handling solutions for over 75 years. The most common attachments are sideshifting carriages, sideshifting fork positioners and weighing scales.
